Drawing from Anxiety

Mindfulness has long been recognized as a way to address anxiety and difficult emotions around traumatic loss and injury. There are many ways into a mindfulness practice, and Mandala drawing is one of them. 

First practiced by Tibetan Buddhists, has become a widely recognized tool for minimizing the effects of trauma, reducing anxiety and depression, and building focus and calm. The mandala’s circular designs, featuring intricate patterns, have long been recognized as a therapeutic intervention for promoting psychological well-being and calm.

Materials: Bring a paper plate or two, scissors, and color markers or pencils. No skills required, just your preference.
