Join us to read and reflect on The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This classic novel chronicles the tragic pursuit of wealth, love, and the American Dream in 1920’s New York. Car crashes figure prominently in the plot and serve as powerful symbols of moral carelessness, the illusion of control, and destructive class exploitation.
We will meet just once, for 90 minutes. We encourage reading the entire book, but please join the discussion even if you are not able to complete it. FSS Book Club is facilitated by FSS member, author, and writing instructor, Rebecca Sonkin.
Purchase the book through Amazon, AbeBooks, or, best of all, your local library!
